Freedom Area High School students evacuated after principal receives another bomb threat

Freedom Area Senior High School

An area school district is evacuating some students for a second time in as many weeks because of a bomb threat.

The Freedom Area School District says another bomb threat was emailed to the high school principal on Tuesday.

High school students are being evacuated from the stadium, but the district asks families not to come to campus while police are responding to the incident.

Elementary and middle school students are being held in place within their schools, which is a change in procedure from the threat on Aug. 31, when all students were evacuated to the stadium.

District officials expect to release more information at a later time. Currently, the district expects regular afternoon bus dismissal.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
