Funeral set for Tuesday for state trooper killed in Beaver County crash

MONACA, Pa. (AP) — The funeral for a 24-year veteran state trooper killed in a crash Thursday in Beaver County has been scheduled for Tuesday.

Trooper Blake Coble, 47, was on patrol when his cruiser was struck by a tractor-trailer Thursday morning in Beaver County. The crash remains under investigation.

The Beinhauer Funeral Home in McMurray is handling arrangements and visitation on Sunday and Monday.

Coble's funeral is set for noon Tuesday at the Community College of Beaver County, in an athletic facility known as the Golden Dome, in Monaca. A funeral procession to St. Mary's Roman Catholic Cemetery in Beaver Falls will follow.

Gov. Tom Corbett has ordered all state flags at the Capitol in Harrisburg and all other state facilities in Beaver County to fly at half-staff until Coble is buried.

Coble is survived by his wife, Brenda, and two children.
