PITTSBURGH — A North Allegheny High School graduate who died in a freak accident last week will be laid to rest Monday.
Emma Munson, 19, of McCandless, was a student at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond.
Officials said she died after she fell down a flight of stairs and hit her head at a college house-party.
Funeral services are scheduled for Monday morning. Family members ask donation be made to help improve the earth.
In a heartbreaking and eloquently written obituary, family members said, "Because Emma wanted to do so much with her life, in lieu of flowers, her wish would be for donations to be made for the good of her 'Mother Earth.'
