It's a big birthday for the Girl Scouts of America and the organization is celebrating its centennial anniversary in Pittsburgh.
Thousands of girl scouts,alumnae and supporters from across the country are gathering for the weekend celebration in the city to commemorate the organization's history and embrace its future.
The Girl Scouts Grand Celebration Weekend kicked off at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center for the opening ceremony Saturday morning.
Festivities for the weekend celebration include a parade down Liberty Avenue, musical performances and a dedication ceremony for the Celebrating Scouting first-class forever stamp.
