PITTSBURGH — A home in Pittsburgh's Oakland neighborhood exploded on Thanksgiving.
"We came down, and it's gone. The whole place is demolished. There's nothing left," said David Becker.
Becker said his niece lived at the home that used to stand on Dawson Street. She called him from Maryland Thursday night, saying she heard her house exploded.
Four college students lived in the home. They weren't there at the time of the explosion.
"We can replace all of her things, but we can't replace her, so we're happy and thankful," said Becker.
Investigators are looking into what caused the explosion.
