PITTSBURGH - A 21-year-old mother was among two people killed in a shooting inside of a private club in Homewood early Sunday morning.
Jasmine Morris was shot and killed inside of the Kelly Street club along with 27-year-old Demetrius Broadnax.
Investigators said a patrolman was passing the club when he people started running out of the building yelling that there had been a shooting.
Detectives said Morris and Broadnax were found dead inside.
Morris’ mother said the shooting has shattered her family.
“I work hard to take care of my family. Our lives have been forever changed from this moment,” Lisa Briggs said. “You’re going to be caught. No matter what day, what time, what hours. You’re going to be caught.”
Several others were wounded and all are expected to survive, investigators said.
So far, no arrests have been made.
