New this year for Phantom Fright Nights is the “Friday the 13th” 4D attraction. Kennywood's new 4-D Theater becomes Camp Crystal Lake as Jason Voorhees dons his hockey mask for a 13-minute chase complete with special effects.

"’Friday the 13th’ 4D brings a brand-new element to Phantom Fright Nights," said Kennywood Director of Ride Operations Marie Ruby. "Jason is an iconic figure in scaring, and he'll fit in perfectly, giving visitors an experience that can't be found anywhere else."

Returning for its first full season is the Ark in the Dark haunt. For an extra fee, guests can enter a pitch-black Noah's Ark two by two and try to find their way out.

Haunts and open rides for Phantom Fright Nights, including new features, can be found here: www.phantomfrightnights.com.

Phantom Fright Nights is open to the public every Friday and Saturday in October from 6 p.m. to midnight plus Sunday, Oct. 11, from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Phantom Fright Nights is not recommended for children younger than 13.
