A local man is competing in Jeopardy! tonight.
Dan Perkey will appear on the show at 7 p.m. on Channel 11.
Perkey is originally from Pittsburgh and attended Carlynton High School, and he points out that Bill Cowher also graduated there.
He jokingly describes himself as a devoted Pirates fan.
Perkey’s appearance matches perfectly with the season, thanks to his academic background, which includes studying witchcraft and magic. He also pursues knowledge about archaeology and ancient Sparta.
In tune with Oktoberfest, he is also a brewer who recently spent five months in Munich attending brewing school.
Outside of academics, Perkey is an athlete who has participated in long-distance triathlons in 12 countries across four continents.
