Lucky player wins biggest jackpot in Rivers Casino history

PITTSBURGH — A lucky player at the Rivers Casino won the biggest jackpot in Rivers Casino history this week.

The $260,767 jackpot surpasses the previous record by more than $77,000.

The winner, who wants to remain anonymous, won while playing a $1 Quick Hit slot machine.

"We've had several big winners recently, but it's always exciting to set a new record," said Bud Green, Rivers Casino assistant general manager. "Our team enjoys celebrating with guests when we're able to payout a big jackpot. "

This record-breaking jackpot is close on the heels of another big win from April 2014. That guest, also playing on a $1 Quick Hit Platinum machine, was the lucky winner of $182,966.

Since the casino opened in August 2009, Rivers has awarded more than $406 million in jackpots to players. A jackpot is defined as a win of $1,200 or more.
