Man exposed self on Greyhound bus on Parkway East, officials say

PITTSBURGH — A 46-year-old man from Philadelphia was arrested Thursday for exposing himself on a Greyhound bus while traveling through the Pittsburgh area, officials said.

State police said Ronald Miller, 49, was taken into custody after a 21-year-old woman on the bus said she awoke to find him in front of her, exposing himself.

According to police, the incident happened before 7 a.m., as the bus was heading east on Interstate 376 after it left the downtown Pittsburgh terminal.

Police said the 21-year-old woman screamed to alert the driver, who pulled over and called police.

Authorities said officers stopped the bus on Interstate 376 near Edgewood and arrested Miller. He is facing indecent exposure, disorderly conduct and harassment charges.

“A male was on the bus and exposed himself in a manner to a female passenger. We responded to the scene and we were able to take the male into custody,” Pennsylvania State Police Crpl. Kevin Brown said.

Troopers said Miller was mumbling and may have mental health issues, which will be reviewed while he's held at the Allegheny County Jail.

A Greyhound spokesman said the bus has resumed the trip to New York City, although he doesn't know if the woman remained on board.
