EXTON, Pa. — Police arrested a man accused of breaking into an Exton apartment last month and stealing more than $7,000 worth of items.
Authorities said Ryan Thompson was charged with burglary and receiving stolen property in the April 12 incident.
According to police, Thompson is accused of stealing several musical instruments, an autographed Ben Roethlisberger football, a sword and several personal items from Michael Signore’s apartment.
Investigators said they went to several music stores where Signore’s instruments were pawned and discovered that Thompson sold them.
On April 19, law enforcement officials raided Thompson’s home and found some of the stolen items along with a heroin drug kit, stamp bags, rifles and shotguns, investigators said. Police said Thompson’s girlfriend was hiding in a cabinet during the raid.
Police eventually found Thompson and arrested him. Officials said Wednesday that they are also calling Thompson a “very good person of interest” in one of the recent Murrysville home invasions.
There have been several attempted burglaries and home invasions recently in Murrysville, and no arrests have been made.
Police would not release any other details about the Murrysville investigation.
