Homeless man admits to inappropriately touching young victims, police say

SHENANGO TOWNSHIP, Pa.,None — A man accused of inappropriately touching a child was arrested Saturday in Shenango Township.

According to police, Scott Walker, 31, is accused of touching a 10-year-old girl three times inside a store at the Lawrence Village Plaza.

Authorities said Walker tried to escape by getting on a bus, but officers caught him a short time later.

Walker, who is homeless, admitted to officers that he has inappropriately contacted other young victims, police officer Vince Martwinski said.

“This isn’t the first time he’s done this,” Martwinski said. “He’s done it to many little girls and he’s only been caught three times.”

Officials said medics were called after the arrest because the suspect tried to cut his wrist with a key.

Authorities are asking anyone with information about other possible encounters with Walker to come forward.
