Man robbed at gunpoint of $20, police say

CARRICK, Pa. — Police are looking for two men who robbed a man at gunpoint Thursday night in Carrick.

Authorities said the victim withdrew $20 from a PNC ATM in the Carrick Shopping Center on Brownsville Road about 11:15 p.m.

“I was just minding my own business, and two guys decided they needed some money and I was the closest victim,” the victim said.

The victim told Channel 11’s Jodine Costanzo that as he was pulling out of the parking lot onto Parkfield Street, two men ran up to his car, stuck a gun to his head and demanded money.

“Two guys rolled up on me. It was a black guy and a white guy. The white guy pulled out a silver handgun and said, ‘Give me your money,’” the victim said.

The victim said he gave the men the $20 and they fled the scene on foot. He was not injured.

“I gave him the money and prayed they wouldn’t do anything else to me,” the victim said. “They ran and I parked and just sat there for a while.”

Investigators haven’t released a description of the thieves.
