• Mine subsidence closes part of Center Road in Plum

    PLUM, Pa. - Authorities said a portion of Monroeville Trestle Road in Plum will be closed indefinitely to all traffic because of mine subsidence.

    The road, known locally as Center Road, is closed in the area between the main entrance of Boyce Park and Trestle Road.

    Plum police are advising drivers to avoid Monroeville Trestle Road between Old Frankstown Road and Saltsburg Road.

    As of Tuesday afternoon, Allegheny County had not yet provided a detour.
