BRENTWOOD, Pa. — Two men were arrested Tuesday after police said a Brentwood woman told authorities she found naked pictures of her 15-year-old daughter on the girl's cellphone.
According to the criminal complaint, the girl sent 19-year-old Saib Hasanovic, of Whitehall, naked pictures after he asked for them. The complaint said he picked her up a few days later, took her to his apartment and sexually assaulted her.
Kimberly Faber said she’s seen Hasanovic around her Whitehall neighborhood, and she’ll now look at him differently.
“I’m really concerned with this outbreak because there are several other pedophiles that live in this community,” Faber said. “It hits too close to home. I have a 9-year-old daughter and a 13-year-old son. I shouldn’t have to be in fear that people live so close to home.”
The complaint said 25-year-old Melvin “Jim” Amodeo, of Wilmerding, also exchanged lewd pictures with the girl.
Investigators said the girl told them she met Amodeo on Facebook.
According to the criminal complaint, the girl said she told Amodeo her true age when they first began communicating and he said, “Age is just a number.”
Hasanovic and Amodeo are facing several charges, including child pornography and corruption of a minor. As of 5 p.m. Wednesday, neither man has been able to post bond.
