PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh community is coming together after the tragic slaying of Eliza Fletcher.
Local runners are joining thousands of people across the country to “Finish Eliza’s Run.”
Fletcher was kidnapped while going for a morning jog near the University of Memphis. Her body was found Sunday night and identified Monday morning.
Participants are meeting outside South Park Ice Rink at 4:20 a.m., the same time Fletcher was reportedly kidnapped.
The run is not a fundraiser. Organizers say it’s a way to show support for Fletcher’s family and to promote safety.
