Blair, who joined the Pitt football program in the spring of 2014, was charged with driving under the influence, driving at an unsafe speed and other violations.
According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, a Pennsylvania state trooper working near the Fort Pitt Bridge clocked Blair driving at 117 mph in a 55 mph zone around 3:30 a.m.
The Post-Gazette reports the criminal complaint said the trooper detected a strong odor of marijuana and noticed Blair had blood-shot eyes.
A blood test confirmed the presence of marijuana in the defensive end’s system.
Blair, who overcame a stroke his junior year at Upper St. Clair, played in 12 games as a true freshman last season. He started two of those contests.
