Pitt seniors Alex McNulty and Sara Kelly are moving into a home on McKee Place before classes start.
"It does cause a little bit of worry," said McNulty. "We've been living here for a year and nothing bad has ever happened and we've never heard of anything like that happening to one of our friends."
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man between 25 and 30 years old, who is 5-foot-8 inches to 5-foot-10 inches tall and weighs between 125 and 135 pounds.
Police said he has medium-length wavy black hair, brown eyes and was wearing a white T-shirt and shorts.
"I don't feel too unsafe, as long as we're aware of our surroundings," said Kelly.
Anyone who has information regarding this incident should call the University of Pittsburgh police at 412-624-2121.
