Police ID Derry Twp. robbery target wanted for homicide

TORRANCE, Pa. (AP) — State police are searching for a suspected drug dealer who is now charged with killing a man who allegedly tried to rob him in a Derry Township mobile home.

Ronell Lamar Moses Jr., 20, of Penn Hills, is wanted on criminal homicide and other charges filed by troopers in Greensburg.

Moses is charged with killing 24-year-old Matthew Volk, of West Wheatfield Township, on Saturday afternoon.

Police said Volk arrived to rob Moses at a mobile home in Derry Township where Moses was staying with a couple who knew Volk.

That couple and Volk's girlfriend, who police said drove him to the scene, are also charged with conspiring in the robbery, because police said they knew Volk intended to rob Moses, and with Volk's killing, because their alleged complicity led to Volk's death.
