Police investigating armed robbery at Washington County beer distributor

FREDERICKTOWN, Pa. — Police are using surveillance video in hopes of identifying the man who robbed a Washington County beer distributor late Thursday night at knife point.

According to police, the man was carrying a 6-inch knife when he robbed the Fredericktown Beer Distributor on Front Street about 11 p.m. Thursday.

Authorities said the man took an undisclosed amount of cash from the store before an employee chased him off.

The man was wearing a long-sleeved blue shirt and an orange ski mask, investigators said.

The beer distributor's manager, Denise Monica, told Channel 11's Brandon Hudson that the incident is alarming because they consider the store a second home.

“I was scared for the guy that was working,” Monica said. “My first question was ‘Is everyone OK?’”

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to contact police.
