ALIQUIPPA, Pa. -- Homicide detectives continue to search for clues after a man was found dead in an Aliquippa home Friday night.

Police said the body of Rodney Lucas, 27, was found near the front door of a home on McMinn Street in the Hollywood District of Aliquippa. According to authorities, Lucas was shot several times.

Detectives said Monday that a woman went to the home Friday night and knocked on the door before noticing the body.

“She was trying to get in the house, had knocked on the door. When she couldn't get an answer, she looked in, and thought she saw someone's legs and feet in there. We went up, and sure enough we could see legs and feet there,” said Aliquippa police Detective Sgt. Steven Roberts.

The crime scene was gone Monday, and replaced with balloons and a cross outside the home in memory of Lucas.

Police said they’re investigating several leads.

Anyone who was in the area of McMinn and 17th streets Friday and witnessed anything unusual is asked to call the Aliquippa Police Department.
