Police raid Aspinwall massage parlor; 2 facing prostitution charges

ASPINWALL, Pa. — Two people are facing charges of prostitution after police raided a massage parlor in Aspinwall on Wednesday.

According to investigators, the illegal activity was happening at KC Healthy Massage Therapy on Freeport Road.

After a months-long investigation, officials from the Western PA Human Trafficking Coalition sent an undercover officer into the business, which has been open about two years, to investigate.

Detectives said the officer was propositioned by a female, prompting the charges.

“We’re not going to tolerate it. It’s that simple,” Aspinwall Police Chief John Sabol said.

One woman was charged with criminal solicitation of prostitution. The business owner, Dongzhou Liu, of Chicago, was charged with promoting prostitution, police said. Several other people were brought in for questioning, but so far no one else has been charged.

The occupancy permit on the property has been temporarily revoked while police continue to investigate.

“I view it as a nice little town; seems like it doesn’t fit here,” Mark Immekus, who works nearby, told Channel 11’s Jodine Costanzo.
