NEW BRIGHTON, Pa. — One person was flown from the scene of a shooting in New Brighton, Beaver County, Thursday afternoon, according to numerous witnesses.

Emergency dispatchers confirmed that police were called to a reported shooting around 3:30 p.m. in the 2000 block of Third Avenue at the Brightwood Manor Apartments.

Jeremiah Johns told Channel 11 News that he saw the shooting victim and helped stop him from bleeding before a medical helicopter arrived.
“As I was sitting there, I just kept talking to him and making sure he was still alert. He knew who he was and could say his name and stuff and was making sure EMT was coming to get him,” he said.
Johns also said he saw the gunman leave the apartment complex.
No arrests have been made.
The shooting remains under investigation.
