Youngstown woman's body found inside Neshannock Twp. home days after shooting

NESHANNOCK TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A Youngstown, Ohio, woman who had not been in contact with family members for at least two days was found shot to death inside a Neshannock Township home Friday.

State police said 26-year-old Amanda Seman's body was found inside a Falls Avenue home after her mother notified police that her daughter hadn't been heard from.

Officers who went to the home to check on Seman found her in an upstairs bedroom, having been fatally shot in the face, according to a state police news release.

A criminal complaint stated that Robert Johns, of Neshannock, told authorities that he and Seman were involved in an intimate relationship. He claimed that Seman had a drug addiction and often asked him for money.

Johns said Seman arrived at his house Wednesday night with a man and woman and asked for money, according to the complaint. When the man and woman left, Seman allegedly continued to demand money and took Johns' cellphone, leading to an argument in a bathroom of the home. That's when Johns said he pulled a Glock pistol from his back pocket, pointed it at Seman and demanded his cellphone back.

The complaint went on to state that Johns told authorities that Seman refused to return the phone and lunged toward him, when he shot her. Johns said he dragged Seman's body into the bedroom and partially covered her head with a plastic bag and her body with a blanket.

Johns, 40, was arrested at the home Friday. He was arraigned Saturday morning on charges of criminal homicide and abuse of a corpse.

"I was drinking," Johns told a Channel 11 News photographer as he was led out of the state police barracks. "I didn't mean for nothing to happen."
