Robber runs when White Twp. restaurant manager can't be found

INDIANA, Pa. (AP) — State police are looking for a man who tried to rob a Perkins restaurant in White Township but ran away when an alarm went off after his repeated requests to speak with the manager were not successful.

According to police, the robber went into the restaurant about 9:45 p.m. Sunday.

The ski-masked robber repeatedly asked to speak with the manager, whom the employees couldn't find. In the process of looking for the manager, one of the employees opened a rear door, which caused an alarm to go off and scared away the man.

Troopers from the Indiana, Pa., barracks couldn't find the robber when they arrived moments later.

Nobody was hurt by the robber, who had a gun.
