PITTSBURGH — Several people, including children, were injured when a deck collapsed in Pittsburgh's Sheraden neighborhood Saturday afternoon, according to officials.
The collapse was reported shortly before 3:30 p.m. on Sacramento Avenue. One adult and three children were sent to an area hospital following the collapse, Channel 11 has learned. Two of the children suffered minor injuries and were transported for evaluation

Officials said one adult and five children were in a small pool at the time of the collapse.
Sonya Toler, the public information officer for Pittsburgh police, told Channel 11 that all of the injuries sustained during the incident were “extremely minor.”
Channel 11's Jennifer Borrasso has learned the two people hurt are the mother and son who live at the residence.
According to Borrasso, the mother’s name is Melanie Cox and her son’s name is Maurice.
Neighbor Diane Abramowicz was in her dining room when she heard a loud crash.
It took her several seconds to realize what had happened, at which point she jumped into action.
“When I heard the water I thought they were dumping the pool,” she said. “And I heard the screams and immediately my first thing was to run over to help.”
Abramowicz was one of several people who provided help on the scene. A man was grabbing those trapped under the deck collapse and handing them to Abramowicz, she said.
“The woman was hurt pretty badly,” she said.
Police and emergency services responded quickly to the scene, and Channel 11 is working to find out the condition of those injured.
