Some residents in Lawrence Co. say they never got boil water notice

PULASKI TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Some people in one neighborhood in Pulaski Township, Lawrence County, said they never got a notice about an order to boil their water due to problems with well water parasites.

“We don't drink the water at all,” Michelle Hall said.

Hall told Channel 11 News that she's not taking any chances with her grandchildren, Hayden, 5, and McKenna, 2. When they visit, she said her grandchildren are not allowed to drink water from the tap.

Heritage Hills Mobile Home Park was under a boil advisory. All residents were supposed to receive a letter, detailing the advisory.

Hall and a few of her neighbors said they never got that notice.

“We only use our water pressure to cook with, to shower with. I would never drink it. It smells horrible. I'm scared to drink it,” Hall said.

Michelle said she washes dishes with the well water and will even make coffee with it, but after reading the letter her neighbor brought to her, she'll never drink the water again.

“I'll never drink it again. I will buy bottled water,” Hall said.

The issue with the water has been fixed. However, efforts to reach the mobile home park’s landlord went unanswered.

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection is staying in contact with the landlord and residents to monitor the situation.
