Pittsburgh has embraced me as not only a Pittsburgh Steeler but a member of the community,” Allen said. “I feel it's my responsibility to reciprocate by embracing the Pittsburgh community as well.”
Allen and his foundation took underprivileged children from Pittsburgh area Boys & Girls Clubs to shop. The children then paid it forward themselves, shopping for their family members.
“The excitement on the faces of the young people really touches our hearts and reminds us of why we do what we do,” Allen said.
