Surveillance video shows knife-wielding man robbing Latrobe pharmacy

LATROBE, Pa. — Police are looking for a man accused of robbing a Westmoreland County pharmacy Saturday afternoon at knife point.

According to police, the man walked into the Rite Aid on Route 30 in Unity Township and began to purchase a pack of gum.

As the man was checking out and the clerk had the cash register opened, the man brandished a knife and demanded the cash inside the register.

The clerk gave the man an undetermined amount of cash, and the man fled the store on foot. The clerk wasn't injured.

Through interviewing the clerk and reviewing the store's surveillance video, police describe the robber as a man in his late 20s, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and a thin build.

Police said he was wearing a gray T-shirt over a white long-sleeved sweatshirt, dark-colored pants and dark-colored shoes. He was also wearing a white baseball hat.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to contact police.
