MCKEESPORT, Pa. — A suspect was arrested during a SWAT situation in McKeesport on Wednesday.
A spokesperson for the Allegheny County Police Department said the incident began at 12:30 p.m. as McKeesport police searched for a “male” connected to a previous incident.
Police said the suspect ended up barricading inside a house on the 200 block of Pacific Avenue with a gun, which resulted in SWAT units being called to the scene at 12:50 p.m.
Police used drone technology to find him hiding in an attic.
He was eventually convinced to surrender and taken into custody without incident.
Authorities have not released the suspect’s identity at this time. Channel 11 will share more information as we learn more.
