Teacher's aide accused of having sex with student to go to trial

NEW KENSINGTON, Pa. — The case against a local high school teacher’s aide accused of having sex with a 17-year-old student is going to trial.

Christina Domme, 39, is accused of having sex with a 17-year-old senior at Valley High School, then buying him $300 worth of clothing as well as cigarettes.

Investigators said Domme first denied the relationship when the boy’s mom found out, but then later confessed to driving the victim to her Aluminum City terrace home on more than one occasion and having sex with him there.

District officials said none of the encounters happened on school property.

Although the 17- year-old is past the legal age of consent, police said such relationships between students and employees are illegal.

“We send our kids to schools - that should be their safest environment, and I guess as society we have to be concerned when the people there to guide and protect are taking advantage of them,” New Kensington police Chief Tom Klawinski told Channel 11 the day after Domme was arrested.

Domme was placed on leave from Valley High School when the allegations surfaced.
