Township supervisor, former state representative charged with harassment against current employee

FORWARD TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A current Forward Township supervisor and retired state representative of 25 years, Dave Levdansky, is now slapped with a harassment charge.

“He should not be in public service, he should know better, I mean come on that’s just wrong and I think he should be punished to the full extent of the law,” resident Karrie Bayton said.

Levdansky is accused of inappropriately touching a female employee before a meeting last month. He was just sworn into office on the first of the year.

“I’m a little puzzled,” Forward Township Board President Tom DeRosa said.

DeRosa said he hopes a judge thoroughly reviews the case and makes a decision that will protect this victim.

“Any allegations of this nature is disturbing, and we should take them seriously. It’s our job as employers to make sure every employee has a safe workspace, we only hope to do that. It shouldn’t be difficult to achieve that and I’m hoping we do,” DeRosa said.

It’s unclear what will happen with Levdansky’s position on the supervisor board.
