GREENSBURG, Pa. — Leadership at the Westmoreland County Prison is undergoing a major shake-up.
During its Thursday morning meeting, the Westmoreland County Prison Board fired Warden Steven Pelesky, board president Douglas Chew confirmed.
The board also placed Deputy Warden Robert Fagan on paid administrative leave.
Chew said the prison’s operations “proceed normally” and the board “can’t provide additional comments on employment matters.”
Pelesky had been on administrative leave since July 23, when the prison board approved a leave request.
