Water main break floods basement, garage in Plum

PLUM, Pa. — A water main break in Plum flooded and damaged at least one home Monday afternoon.

Officials said the break was reported just before noon Monday along O’Block Avenue.

Janet DeAngelo told Channel 11 News that her basement and garage were flooded with water. She said this is the second time the water main has broken and damaged her house.

“It was all over the whole yard and up to the house and in the basement,” DeAngelo said. “I don’t know what else to say.”

DeAngelo said she thinks the old pipes on her street are to blame for the break.

Emergency crews quickly responded to the scene and fixed the break.
