Why Mero Restaurant Group opened a second CHiKN restaurant in Oakland

Mero Restaurant Group has opened a second location of CHiKN on South Craig Street in Oakland in relatively close proximity to its first location of the Nashville hot chicken restaurant on Forbes.

Yet Mero founder and principal Maurry Mendelovich has every reason to think that it will prove to be a benefit to have the new restaurant relatively close to the first.

The first location caters more towards students and staff at the University of Pittsburgh, while the second will be closer to Carnegie Mellon University.
