Five years after planting its flag in western Pennsylvania by taking space at an Armstrong County industrial park, a Wisconsin company is building a new, 20,000-square foot manufacturing facility there on 20 acres of land, the first of a multiphase construction project.

Brunk Industries’ $31.7 million investment was announced by Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro as the state is plugging more than $4.1 million into the project. The company’s expansion will create 64 new jobs over the next four years and retain 11 existing full-time positions.

Brunk Industries is a contract manufacturer specializing in micro-precision, light-gauge metal stamping and complex component assembly. The company designs custom tooling and produces parts for highly regulated industries like medical devices, aerospace, automotive and defense. Established in 1960 in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, Brunk Industries at present employs 300 across its footprint. It entered the Pittsburgh region in 2021, creating a tooling center of excellence. The company currently leases 6,000 square feet at the Tech Center II facility at the RIDC Armstrong Innovation Park in Freeport, about 30 miles northeast of Pittsburgh.
