DA: Aliquippa woman stole $80K for beauty, bath products

ALIQUIPPA, Pa. — The district attorney said a woman stole roughly $80,000 from the Pittsburgh consulting firm where she worked and spent the money on personal beauty and bath products, cellphone bills, and home-improvement stores.

Anne Dushac, 28, of Aliquippa, faces a preliminary hearing Monday on charges filed by the Allegheny County district attorney.

Investigators said she was hired as an office manager at Tripp Umbach in 2008 but her job responsibilities broadened to include accounting.

Company officials noticed unauthorized purchases on her company-issued credit card during her maternity leave last year and the investigation broadened to include checks she also allegedly wrote for personal expenses at Bath & Body Works, Bed, Bath & Beyond, and other retailers.
