Woman hospitalized after car, Amish buggy collide in Lawrence Co.

WILMINGTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A woman was hospitalized Monday morning after a car collided with an Amish buggy in Lawrence County.

Authorities said the crash was reported about 8:30 a.m. on Covered Bridge Road in Wilmington Township.

According to police, the driver crested a hill, but by time he saw the buggy, he said he couldn’t stop.

The woman in the buggy, Katie Byler, suffered head injuries in the crash. She was taken to UPMC Farrell.

The driver of the car, Chad Mohr, wasn’t injured.

State police said possible summary charges may be filed in the incident. The car was towed from the scene.
