WPXI introduces new social media-driven sports show ‘The Final Word'

PITTSBURGH — WPXI is proud to announce that beginning Sunday, Pittsburgh sports fans can end their weekend by having The Final Word.

WPXI’s new sports show, hosted by sports director Alby Oxenreiter, invites Pittsburgh's most passionate sports experts to sound off on their teams using social media.

While most roundtable sports shows talk at Pittsburgh sports fans, The Final Word invites them into the conversation. Tweets and Facebook comments will be on screen throughout the show, while fan videos will spark debates between panelists.

Be sure to visit and follow The Final Word’s official Facebook page and Twitter account so you’re able to participate.

Fans will be joining a conversation that's driven by WPXI sports reporters as well as sports writers and columnists from the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review and triblive.com. Local celebrities, and not just ones from the sports world, will also get a chance to talk sports with the crew.

The Final Word is a new kind of show for Pittsburgh. The people behind it believe you don't need to be a sports reporter or writer to have an opinion worth being heard. They also believe that more views make for a better conversation.

The Final Word will debut Sunday at 11:35 p.m. on WPXI, right after the Steelers make their draft picks and right before the Penguins begin their run at the Stanley Cup.
