Mailman finds 2-year-old wandering streets, delivers her to police

DENVER, COLORADO — A young Colorado girl is back home and safe after a postal carrier makes a speedy delivery.

Robert Batley was working his route on Wednesday morning when he saw the 2-year-old, dressed in only a diaper, alone in the median of a busy Denver street.

After several drivers drove by without stopping, Batley jumped into action.

He picked up the toddler and called police.

"It was like something out of the movie," says Batley.  "She was just walking down the street in her diapers and cars going by so I knew I had to get there as quick as possible so she wouldn't dart into traffic."

It turns out the little girl was in the care of her grandfather who stepped away to use the bathroom and didn't notice the girl was missing.
