PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto joined the Light of Life Rescue Mission Monday as they served over 900 people Wednesday.

Peduto has been involved with the mission for over 20 years and has made serving pre-Christmas meals a holiday tradition.
"A lot of people who don't have a home, and there's a lot of ways we can help,” Peduto said. “Just by being here helps a little bit and by recognizing the spirit of the holiday is in helping others."
James Kirkland, a patron of Light of Life, looks forward the annual tradition.
“It feels like home,” Kirkland said.
