PITTSBURGH,None — Police continue to search for the people responsible for opening fire in a Strip District club on New Year's Eve, killing one woman and injuring three others.
One of the injured victims' mothers said she wants answers after her underage age son was permitted into Fever Night Club.
"It should be closed. It should be closed permanently," said Aleasha Hall.
Hall's son was shot in the New Year's Eve shooting and is listed in critical condition.
"I definitely don't think my son was a target. It was a random shooting. My son got shot inside the club," Hall said.
Hall said she's been told that her 20-year-old son was permitted into the club by paying extra money at the door.
"It was $60 to get in and he paid a $100 to get in. But without any ID, he should not have been able to get in at all," said Hall.
On Tuesday, a former Fever manager told Channel 11 News that he seen people pay to get into the building when they should not have been allowed. Police are now following up on that claim.
Hall said she believes that lack of enforcement allowed her son to get shot.
"If he can pay to get in without an ID, I'm sure someone can pay to get in with a weapon," Hall said.
Hall's son underwent surgery on Wednesday.
Shateecha Roach, 27, was shot and killed. Police continue to investigate. So far, no arrests have been made.
