Multiple people hurt in 2 accidents on PA Turnpike in Mount Pleasant Township

MOUNT PLEASANT TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Multiple people were transported to hospitals with injuries received in two separate accidents along the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Mount Pleasant Township.

The first accident occurred in the eastbound lane around mile marker 85.5. The trailer a pickup truck was pulling flipped over and blocked both eastbound lanes. Three people were taken to hospitals.

The second accident occurred at mile marker 85 in the eastbound lanes. Two vehicles were involved in the accident, but traffic was able to pass by blocked left and center lanes. Two people were taken to hospitals.

No victims from either accident were said to have life-threatening injuries.
