STATEN ISLAND, NEW YORK — A New York family is outraged after the man convicted of killing one of their own is now seeking love on the internet.
Jonathan Crupi was convicted of killing his wife Simeonette in 2012.
Now, her family says he shouldn't be allowed to put a dating profile online.
Crupi's wife was a 29-year-old schoolteacher when he pushed her down a flight of stairs and stabbed her 15 times. He posed the scene to look like a home invasion then left to celebrate the killing with his favorite prostitute.
Investigators found searches on his home computer that indicated he was researching "how to throat slash" and "what destroys DNA." Sentenced to 25 years in prison, he has decided to seek a new love interest.
Writing in his online inmate dating profile that: "For now, I just want to find an interesting girl to share experiences with."
The family of his murdered wife is vigorously protesting the appearance of the ad.
