SHALER TOWNSHIP, Pa.,None — Shaler Township will have a new supermarket to shop at come Thursday.
A new Giant Eagle will open its doors directly across from the old market, which sits along Route 8.
The new store will have a cafe area, pet department and will sell beer.
On top of the current staff, 100 new employees were hired to help run the store.
The old building is set to close at about 6 p.m. Wednesday.
