You've seen the posts on Facebook and Twitter: Luxury retailer Nordstrom is leaving the Christmas decorations that they deck the stores with in storage until after Thanksgiving.

But according to the company, that's nothing new.

Company spokesman Dan Evans, Jr. told WRC that all 312 stores in 39 states, and three in Canada will not have trees and tinsel put out as decorations until after turkey day.

One sign that has been making its way around the Internet says, "We don't trim our stores till after we've trimmed the turkey. Because we like the idea of celebrating one holiday at a time."

But it is this sign, posted by media outlets on Twitter, and the general public, across the country that has one company firing back.

Consumerist recently wrote a story asking everyone to stop posting the photo since it was originally on its site in 2009.

The article says that the poster resurfaces every year, despite the fact that Thanksgiving and Black Friday don't always fall on Nov. 26 and 27 like it did in 2009 and again this year.
