One person rescued after falling near Quaker Falls

MAHONING TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Emergency crews rescued one person from a trail near Quaker Falls in Lawrence County.

From Chopper 11, you could see the victim in a basket being carried through the woods.

The victim is from Youngstown, according to a friend. That friend said four of them were spending the day at Quaker Falls. While walking near the water fall, the victim tripped and fell roughly 10 feet, hitting his head on a log.

He was talking to medics when they loaded him into am ambulance and then into a medical helicopter, according to the friend.

Quaker Falls is near the 5000 block of West State Street in Mahoning Township.
