FOREST GROVE, OREGON — A police officer in Forest Grove, Oregon was busy conducting a routine traffic stop, when all of a sudden, his body camera caught a crash behind him.

The video shows the officer talking to a driver that he pulled over on July 14-th.
Then in a split second, a loud noise forces him to turn his attention to a nearby crash.
Two cars smash into each other at an intersection and one car flips over.
The officer calls for medical assistance on his radio after seeing the violent crash.
After the video cuts out, the officer goes to help the crash victims.
Forest Grove's police captain says that a case like this demonstrates the enormous power of body cams for keeping both police and civilians accountable.
