Porn Accidentally Shown To Students At Norwin School

NORWIN, Pa.,None — Channel 11 learned that some Norwin High School students were accidentally shown pornography during a presentation Friday.

School leaders sent a note home with students explaining that during a presentation, a representative from the Central Blood Bank mistakenly showed explicit photographs.

"The material in question was retrieved from the employee's personal flash drive. Per organizational policy, employees are not allowed to use flash drives and are required to review their presentations in advance with their supervisor; in this situation, the employee ignored these policies," the Central Blood Bank said in a statement.

The employee has been suspended pending further investigation.

Actual Letter From Norwin School District to Parents/Guardians:

"Dear Parents/Guardians,

A representative from the Central Blood Bank was here today to speak to our Senior Class about donating blood. As preparations were made for the representative of the Central Blood Bank to show a Power Point Presentation, a few pornographic pictures that were on the representative's flash drive was briefly viewed by members of our Senior Class. We sincerely regret this incident and apologize to the students and the parents of the Norwin School District.

The North Huntingdon Township Police Department and the District Attorney's Office have been contacted and an investigation of the incident is currently underway. We have also contacted the corporate office for the Central Blood Bank and they have drafted a letter of apology that is included with this letter.

We find this incident inexcusable and are taking every measure we can to ensure that the investigation is carried out with the utmost fidelity.
