• RMU alum, Olympian Brianne McLaughlin on U.S. Women's Hockey team

    SOCHI, RUSSIA - The first full day of competition at the Sochi Olympics got underway on Saturday. One of the first events featured the United States Women’s Hockey team, which includes Robert Morris University goaltender Brianne McLaughlin, taking on Finland.

    Sochi is McLaughlin’s second Olympics with the U.S. Women’s Hockey team. She was a member of the silver medal winning team in Vancouver.

    Before she left for Sochi, McLaughlin took some time to talk to Channel 11 about the 2014 team, and she said she likes the mix of players going for gold. View the entire interview with McLaughlin above (*SPOILER ALERT: Video contains game results).

    Team USA will be back on the ice Monday when they face Switzerland.
